An overview of youth baseball bat background information and moratoriums:What to look out for and what to keep in mind

A moratorium is a delay or even the stopping of something specific and an example of a moratorium is the one that was in enacted by the Little League. This was based on baseball bats that were made from materials of composite features because these baseball bats were found that once used a few times they did not properly meet the standards of the league or even what was printed on the bat that it claims it can do.  This was done in the year of 2011 and it is still in place except for a couple of requirements which are the barrel should not be more than two and one quarter inches and the barrel of the bat should not be made of any composite materials; end cap not included.

If you have a bat that meets the criteria mentioned above then it needs to be tested properly and once the tests are passed it will note and can be used. This moratorium is not true for softball bats or baseball bats that have barrels made completely of metal, alloy, wood or aluminum.

When it comes to little league this is the only moratorium out there and in all honesty it is really in place to help keep the kids a lot safer. So with that being said there are still a lot of different baseball bats that you can choose from. Compare and contrast what is out there and what you are allowed to choose from and then pick the best youth baseball bat for you to use during each and every game of the season. Playing properly in little league baseball gets you prepared for high school baseball and even professional baseball one day.
